The best new tools I’ve accumulated recently:

1. Detach from outcomes (this doesn’t mean don’t do the work, it means trusting that what you want or something better will happen)

2. Say no (if it’s not an immediate jolt of excitement, it’s a no… if it’s a maybe, it’s a no… if it’s wishy washy, it’s a no)

3. Be okay not being liked (living an authentic life will trigger some people and their reactions are not your responsibility)

n2 sounds a bit egotistic?

Maybe. I was saying yes to things that were not jolting and it was a waste of others’ time as well.

We have finite time … we can’t say yes to everything.

Saying “yes” to things that don’t help you, your family, or your immediate community is a relic of the broken system.

Amanda actually told me “no” directly once and it was awesome to see in action and -in hindsight - it was a good move on her part.

You’re a good sport. This is where #1 & #3 kick in for both parties
