Holy crap, I haven't seen a house framed with blocking like that in ages. AND they kinda look like 2x6 wall studs.

This is how you build a house, lol. Usually it's all the cheapest possible 2x4 studs with wide spacing and basically fuck'n cardboard on the outside instead of real sheathing... mention blocking & you'll probably just get laughed at. 😆
