With Fedi the user chooses their federation which can be organized by people they trust, or they can start their own federation. With Liquid, you trust Blockstream and their partners. I haven’t paid attention to Liquid so it’s possible something has changed with their model.

is that the only major advantage?
seems like the audibility of liquid is superior and the confidential transactions equal a mint's privacy
Fedi has lightning interop. Fedimint the protocol is also open and has more than just monetary use cases. They’re pretty different so tough to compare, I think.
liquid lighting atomic swaps
and i believe there are securities also issuable on liquid

and NFTs can be on liquid so i'd say it is pretty comprehensive
Nice to know liquid is moving forward - def glad it exists.
I think the Fedi team is doing stuff that will enable trustless compute like comms, file storage / sharing, etc.
I think Fedimint being an open protocol will attract developers and it being more trust-minimized is why there is hype.
To me, Liquid is for bigger orgs who are OK with trusting Blockstream and Fedimint for individuals or small groups that won’t be comfortable with trusting Blockstream.
Fedi is exciting but they haven’t done anything yet.
Liquid is running, has been running, and has buy in from some of the best in #bitcoin
Liquid fully auditable and works near exactly the same in operation as main chain bitcoin, no learning curve.
