Do you pay the creator and the platform directly for all the videos that you blocked the ads from? You are using somebody else's property in a way they didn't agree with. So, you better offer some compensation via other means.

If you want to watch it without ads, pay the provider of those services and/or the creator directly. That's why we are here.

It doesn't matter how little the creator gets from you on an ad-based system. If everyone blocks ads, neither the platform, not the creator would exist. So the ad is essential to the terms and conditions of the material you are consuming.

I agree.

This has the same energy as those anti-piracy ads back in the day or the big Napster controversy. You're displaying your work in a public town square but you're mad that passers by are looking at it without paying you. Defending that kind of behaviour is asking for violence since that's the only way to enforce this. Its not stealing to use an adblocker. Find a better monetisation model.

YouTube is not a "public town square". It's the complete opposite of that.
