If you break it down it but further with your logic you could say that the reserve props up govt spending, and the govt gets to choose where that spending goes. This administration does not care about social programs and is more likely to spend more on private contracts that are essentially handouts to the owners of businesses that got them elected, the military industrial complex, private prisons, Musk's businesses, etc.

Correct, that is the flip to it. Also I favor more state and local reserves where the voters are closer to the actual decision makers and influence and where a balanced budget is required, unlike federal funding/budgets.
And I belive in a much weaker executive branch
Yes, 100% me too. Federal govt has way too much power and is entirely too disconnected from the people they are governing. Unfortunately the centralization of power seems to be getting worse. The checks and balances of the 3 branch govt are breaking down or getting outright ignored and there is very little pushback even from the opposition party. I am really pessimistic about our chances of reversing this trend. Voting doesn't seem to do shit when money and propaganda dominate the process. At this point I'm just waiting for Bitcoin to neuter the power of the money printer and limit govt power that way.
