Lovely color also 👌 I was torn between a Jimny and a Terios 2nd gen.
Jimny was in such demand in recent years in EU that there was almost a year of delay between order and delivery. Also, it was not possible to choose a color. It would just arrive and if you don't like the color, the car is for the next person in queue.
Earlier this year, Suzuki has stopped selling them in EU because it was too damaging for the EU CO2 rating given that there's no hybrid version.
I guess 2nd hand prices are bound to increase. Mine is certainly not for sale.
Enjoy it while it lasts! Imo, the EU and many European governments are a little off-tune with the principles of nature at this point.
yup, unfortunately we now have scientists and economists more driven by ideology than their craft, and then politician taking advantage of these publications for their own benefit.
Btw, in France it's still possible to buy one of the few remaining new Jimny on the market, but while the car will cost you approx €28k, the new special French CO2 tax will be around €30k on top of purchase price. We've entered crazy territory.
Very well put 👌 And yes, I know, we've entered crazy territory. Import fees for what the EU considers 'high-emission' cars into other EU countries like Greece are such that it's effecticely an import ban. And producing new cars is of course much more environmentally friendly than driving your old car for 20+ years in the countryside. I'm orignally an environmental lawyer by trade myself, but am repelled by seeing such nonsense unfolding. Understanding Bitcoin vs. fiat makes you realize.
