That's the irony.

South Africa was denied vaccines. We were denied production rights to produce for the continent.

Zimbabwe had sanctions and was blocked from vaccines too.

Ironic isn't it?

We basically didn't have vaccines for a long while and had a long lock down. Something about the West vaccine hording...

The COVID virus came here, died out and had to mutate to COVID SARS COV-2 just to survive the harsh environment.

We ended up getting portioned vaccines from all over the world; but COVID died out here by the time we needed to use them.

Africa isn't for sissies.

yeah this is true, but we didn't have the vaccine and people were kicking it - then I think herd immunity kicked in and the deaths decreased. But people did die, and we had no vaccines on shore. So you tell me what that is?

Imagine a world where people could hold onto the idea that people died who didn’t deserve to die just because they ate some seed oils and not as many people died as the initial panic from governments and media reported would?

I also didn't say "no young people or newborns died" I said I said "no they didn't" to "many young healthy people died from covid" pretty big difference there. My original point was the people who died from covid mainly had multiple comorbidities. The vaccine and lockdowns killed many many times more healthy people than covid did

SARS didn't mutate to SARS-COV2 in Africa. SARS-COV-2 is a separate SARS virus. There were a number of variants of SARS-COV-2 that originated (at least in terms of detection) in South Africa, though there has been a suspicion that Omicron was due to someone playing around in a lab and then accidentally leaking it.

Omicron was mutated here and is the variant that went back overseas. Many mutations died from the environmental conditions until Omicron was formed.

It did indeed mutate here into something more powerful than the initial outbreak.

I didn't say it was. I said there were suspicions (because of the number of unique mutations). It probably just passed through a bunch of AIDS patients

People from all walks of life vehemently opposed them.

The only ones who took them were forced or loose the job of unable to travel etc.

Here I would say they got the first 30-40% fairly easily. It was made very difficult here after that. I don't honestly believe the supposed full vaccination rate (95% 12+), but I can't be sure if that's the govt defrauding the public or the public defrauding the govt.

No just the original two ages 12+ (97% 1 shot). Eventually, once it became clear that none of the vaccines fully prevented infection or transmission it became difficult to maintain restrictions for the unvaccinated
