If you're open to revolvers, consider the Chiappa Rhino for great ergonomics plus reliability against cycle/feed/ammo failures. Just keep pulling the trigger. And you can do it all day long with .357 as easily as .38 due to the low bore axis. The reduction in felt recoil is real
