So the radical left did at least a good thing. If patriotism means a war-prone population, fuck patriotism. The europeans' war-weariness is a very sensibile thing. No one should die for this EU cleptocracy since most wars in history, if not all, are the bloody games of powerful elites playing with the lives of their brainwashed/coerced subjects.

I meant patriotism in the sense that it is easy to channel through the right propaganda, especially against external pseudo-enemies

Patriotism has always been a double edge sword as is the best tool for secular powers to send their people die in the trenches since the inception of the nation-state.
