Joining, or being in, a community always brings about positives and negatives on me. I would like to learn how to deal with what I may not necessarily appreciate within a given place. Leaving is always an option still.

yes and no, i guess.
Even living in nyc, or anywhere, has pros and cons.
nostr has a focus on bitcoin. I am not so sure about bitcoin. feels like a non-believer among believers. ha,
I see. I hope you decide to stay. Nostr needs more diversity, which will take time & dedication by those who believe it is a better way to communicate. It is all still very new. The bitcoin community strongly believes in freedom, which is what nostr offers for communication, so it has become the main focus for now.
I do understand your point, on a broader scale too. I saw your other note about your grandmother & the lanterns. It is an honorable aim to strive towards.
Whatever you should decide, I am happy I have had a chance to see some of your art. It is lovely.
