I don't think so. Let me share my idea with you.

Let's imagine the greatest thing in existence. The greatest joy. Someone living the state of nirvana.

Now let's also imagine the worst feeling in existence. I'm not sure what it is, but let's be very crude and imagine a little girl getting beaten and molested for all her life without knowing why. It's hard to imagine something worse than that.

Do you think the suffering of this little girl was worth it so that the man could feel nirvana?

If I was given the choice to terminate existence with the press of a button, which means ending the greatest gift of living to stop the greatest sufferings, I don't see how it could be anything less than selfish to perpetuate it.

Yes I do, in fact even if it were only the abuse victim feeling anything it would still be worth it. I would even say there is no difference between suffering and joy. Those are illusions.

Respect for biting the bullet on that one and just say yes. But I can't agree. I think i understand where you're coming from when you say the difference is an illusion because at the end of the day everything is one and the same thing but it's too abstract and we do feel a difference. The illusion is real as fuck.
