PV! 🤙 A simple Nostr scaling solution is relays pruning old data unless you pay to keep them. Idk why relays aren't adopting this yet, if you want your old data, run your own relay or pay for it.

I rather like this idea.

I wonder if a relay could be set up to give a 48 hour warning on a note to the originator and have the ability to zap that note directly to pay for another year of hosting.

The relay could send an encrypted DM with an invoice to pay.

I have at least one thread I want to keep going. I’d definitely pay to keep it around as it gets zapped every time I update it.
