I have been hardcore audited by the IRS. It was a hard and expensive lesson, but in hindsight, a good one.

It taught me how to legally avoid as many taxes as possible - and has paid for itself 100x. Tho it takes resources to do so.

It also taught me to hate the IRS with a fervor. The process and the people are a joke. It was a full on witch hunt.

I know a billionaire with a stimmy check framed in his office. Not because it was a mistake - but because he pays so little in taxes that the govt thinks he needs aid.

A tax leak reveled that Jeff Bezos receives tax credits for his kids.

and actually - good for them.

The IRS and its agents are a joke.

The IRS will not even answer tax questions if you call them.

It’s unfixable.

Burn it down.

Hating the IRS seems a reasonable approach for decent people.

All that is needed is for enough people to stop thinking taxes are good or a necessary evil.

Forced taxes in particular. It's OK to have taxes on optional bullshit, for example forcing people to pay to register brand names, which is a corporate tax you can avoid by doing your own business without hiding behind a corporation.
