2024 will be known as the mashup year: Nostr clients are turning into wallets, Bitcoin wallets are turning into Nostr clients.

Why?

Tightning the coupling of nostr to bitcoin is very detrimental to nostr as a protocol.

I am not sure if it is detrimental to the protocol, but everyone doing the same move is definatelly less interesting.

I don't mind wallets doing NWC, that's just a net positive.

But every client having a builtin-wallet is bloayt

I'm sad that only Amethyst does proper NWC.

I agree, but not primarly for this reason.

I prefer specific and highly curated apps that have a great integration with each other's.

We have NWC, why should be necessary to add a LN wallet to a nostr client?
