Nobody makes money from telling cancer patients that glucose is cancer's primary fuel source, so eliminating carbs + fasting will starve it out! https://nostpic.com/media/0018b7ee33fb253843639c62e292fec700a69a93b08ee374c5bda971c9b39564/03d287c4cc57582577e140f0bcf324ab121d00374fef7b6f376d0218dbb021ec.webp

Do you have a podcast episode on this topic?

Not yet - I'd go to Dr. Anthony Chaffee's youtube channel, he's talked about it a lot and had several guests on who put their cancers in remission with carnivore

OK, thank you👍

Google 'Warburg effect'. Cancer preferentially uses glucose for metabolism. It is probably impossible to completely "starve out cancer" because ~20% of its metabolism is derived from glutamate, but a ketogenic diet and fasting should imo always be discussed with a cancer patient as an adjunct to regular cancer treatment.

But then again, who will buy all that sweet ensure/prosure drink slop made by big food?

Never heard of it. But will definitely search for it🙏

Check Thomas Seyfried - he's currently actively researching it.

Thanks🫡

Glucose is the brain’s primary food source too 😂

that's what gluconeogenesis is for. your body automatically makes all the glucose it needs without adding in carbs 👍

Ok, got it now Ben, you must be running a grift. There’s no way you can be this wrong without getting paid to be this wrong. The irony of you dissing drug companies is rich! So you prey on folks that are already prone to distrust big pharma so they listen to your nonsense that has just enough “facts” that normies think you understand biochemistry. It’s fucking lame dude.

wait - what?

These are the comments I don't even waste my time responding to 🤣

Poor guy

When I found out about fasting, I reached out to two people I knew who had gotten terminal diagnoses - figured it couldn't hurt. One said "my doctors warned me about people like you selling snake oil" (???) and the other one dove in deep to the research, put herself on a strict fasting protocol and was in remission within a few weeks.

Yeah, it is if you eat a lot of carbs!

Brains run particularly well on ketones, but the liver will make glucose as needed if you don't eat carbs

The Warburg effect is very interesting… been learning about it a bit lately.

3 Forms of Cellular Energy:

-Glucose

-Free fatty acids

-Ketones

All 3 can be tunneled to the mitochondria & turned into ATP through oxidation. 🦠

Although, glucose has two forks it can go down… one path is the Warburg effect (aerobic glycolysis), and the other path is anerobic glycolysis.

The Warburg effect leads to tons of lactate — it’s what is seen in many types of cancer cells. The lactate is acidic, and it suppresses many immune mediators in the environment nearby the cancer cell.
