You're going to earn a lot more sats by putting a whole Bitcoin into joinmarket than you would putting it into lightning. Only run a lightning node if you are looking to access the utility of lightning in a sovereign way.

Agreed. I must say though, the user interface for JoinMarket is atrocious. For joins, I feel like the winning combo is Wasabi with a custom, zero-cost coordinator.
