i switched the error code to http 410 for relays deleted

did you restart the LB? I saw a few reconnects in the last few mins after the connection succeeded
yes it prob took a bit, its a hot reload, then after 2 min it cycles the remaining connections. thanks for fixing! now just gotta get everyone else to 😅
