You mean the one that’s full of shitcoins?

Yep.

My only concern is whether it's secure for temporary storage of bitcoin...😁

However, I'll happily take better recommendations...😁

I don’t know what you and your friend consider a significant amount, but you might want to have him look into getting a Trezor.

For shorter term (non-cold) storage, I’d personally stay away from any wallets that aren’t bitcoin-only. BlueWallet is a good choice.

Thanks for the thoughtful suggestions!πŸ™πŸ˜πŸ‘

Bitbox (bitcoin only) or coldcard

And holds your private keys

I'd get a ledger. Put that shit in cold atorage and call it a day.

Thanks, that's in the plan for my friend, but getting one direct from the company takes a little time...😁

I feel that. I like using mycelium, samurai, and Cake wallet. Cake is monero based but you can add a bitcoin wallet

Thanks for the recommendations.πŸ™πŸ‘πŸ˜

You are welcome πŸ™

Jade > Ledger

Thanks!πŸ™πŸ˜

Try the Sparrow for β‚Ώ, it's dope and pure and lightweight for desktop though

it connects with all your hardware, software, other etc wallets. Very cool and very 🀌

I trusted my gut on this one and moved everything off my first hardware wallet (a ledger) a few months ago. Recommend the same. Bitbox or coldcard for me.

The coolest one that's Bitcoin only is Coldcard MK4 by coinkite. I like those Bitcoiner only compnies (have also signed up and got a ref link... although not sure if there is discount or if I'm collecting points?) It's the one I also use myself to generate stuff. Soliddddd

I appreciate the recommendation...

I've been using Ledgers, and haven't kept up with newer stuff...😁

I love my Cold Card

Great testimonial, thanks!πŸ™πŸ˜πŸ‘

Me too. But today I got my old Ledger Nano X out and I have to say it looks so slick. Good as back-up

TY, friend!😁

Plus couple microsd cards, and usbc cord which plugs into your existing power brick (I don't like the battery option they have on site, you'll see it). That's my 2 sats

I would recommend Bitbox (bitcoin only) or Coldcard. That is it

Thanks muchly!

Speaking from experience. I own a ledger, coldcard, and bitbox. Would recommend bitbox to complete noobs if you aren’t going to walk them through it. Ledger, is probably secure and simple enough, but too many shitcoin vibes. Coldcard is more simple than people make it out, but would require a little more of a handhold for new users.

For price, ease of use, and being open source… I’d say Jade for the noobs. Personally I think the COLDCARD MK4 is the best but… I’m no noob πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

The Jade is nice though. The camera is good, and doing basic things is super easy. Can’t beat that price too.

Thanks!πŸ™πŸ˜

No problem πŸ˜πŸ«‚πŸ’œ

And for your wallet client, Sparrow. FOR SURE! But hardware for a rookie… Jade 🧐

I have a #[2] hardware wallet and love the design and function. Was easy to set up with good customer support.

Thank you.πŸ™πŸ˜

Yeah, I've spoken with some of the #[3] team before, they're top notch.
