If someone was legitimately poor with no job and had no income. Would you still value them if they commented and liked your content daily?

People like to make this about money every time I bring it up. Of course I would appreciate a comment. Likes however are toxic and should not exist on nostr. It’s like asking “If someone was poor with no job or income invited you over for dinner, would you still value if they offered you a bowl of dog shit for dinner.” No, I’d find absolutely no value in that offer. lol

Interesting to thing of what Nostr would be like without likes. Are any clients doing it?

The gif 🤣 A few clients do. Damus lets you remove them entirely from your UI. Nostur lets you remove the like button and turn off notifications for them, but not hide them entirely. Not sure if people still use Snort, but it let you hide them. I think maybe Nostrudel too. I wish they all gave the option. Beyond nostr, Stacker News is a popular bitcoiner platform that doesn’t have them.

Now i dont know what to do. It is like an impulse control issue that I would need to break the habbit. Fucking drilled into my head by every platform for decades.

Dont forget to like, comment, and subscribe...

I can see the value in what you propose. Also sometimes i am really fucking lazy and dont want to type out a reply.

This requires further consideration...

I suggest trying it for 30 days. Don’t hit like on anything for that time and see how your habits change.
