What other options were there aside from Prime Trust for the IRA product? I know Fortress Trust is an option now, but curious who else they and Strike could have used instead
Unchained has an IRA product where you hold the keys. And On Ramp has a collaborative setup for qualified investor IRAs.
Yeah will be interesting to see what happens with companies that have IRA products that let you hold your own keys like Unchained and Kingdom Trust. My understanding is that legally speaking individuals can’t personally hold the assets they have in an IRA themselves, or it can be seen as a having taken a distribution. I believe this is why Swan used a custodian for their IRA product similar to how custodians holds the stocks or other traditional investments people hold in IRAs

Swan has done a lot for BTC promotion and education.
H/e they are now in a good position to promote the proper use of BTC.
They should shut down their exchange, focus on media and education. They should promote p2p only.
