Defnitly. But really unjust. Not to define it on ones personal advantage. Like when a state tries to censor a leak of a sexual affair or push me to do something against my will that is not legitimate.

On a whim, I watched the first few episodes of John Adams this week. It is a tragedy that the arc of US history has gone from there to here, from people fighting and dying in service to the intuition that they had a right and duty to form their own sovereign and free government, to find themselves generations later facing that achievement and seeing only something irredeemably contemptible.
