Every day I check my social media accounts for what's new. News, commentary, life updates, funny memes, etc.

Facebook is hell. Ads, junk, idiots, jerks, and there isn't anything I can do to control my feed.

X is somewhat better, at least the profiles I follow have interesting content sometimes. But notifications have been killed so I have to go hunting for anything that I really want to see.

Discord is safe, only the groups I care about, only the people I care about.

Thank god for Nostr. It's a mix of all of them, but I control my feed, and while there are jerks, there doesn't seem to be very many idiots yet. And if they show up, I'll laugh and mute them.

Someday I'll be Nostr only. But I have a large network to build first.
