I am confused. I hadn't used Primal in a while but a couple of hours ago I posted a note from my laptop through it. However, that note is not showing up on my profile in my Amethyst app.

Why is that?

Is relay.primal.net one of your Amethyst relays?

I don't know. Is it?

None of these show any numbers so are they or not active?

I am a bit clueless on the tech side of relays.

Yes, it's there.

Are you sure the primal and amethyst accounts have the same nsec private key.

(Don't show it to anybody.)

Yep. I only have one account. The posts I make on amethyst are registering on primal.

perhaps, the relay is on your mobile app but not in primal when using your laptop browser ?

What relay would have to be on my laptop browser primal app so that it posts across to the Amethyst mobile app?

I would try relay.primal.net

Are you following yourself in Amethyst?

Yes

Different relays. Pain and gain of nostr.

Hmmmm. Learning something every day. :)

So basically... The people who follow you are not necessarily guaranteed to see everything you might share depending on where you share it from and their own relays?

correct

How can it be different relays, if a Primal relay is also one off your Amethyst relays?

I am not sure what you are asking exactly or how to answer. I am confused.

Someone else answered that it's caused by different relays.

That doesn't make sense, because you have a common relay with primal in amethyst, and it's primal's own relay.

That implies that anything you post in amethyst should appear in primal.🤔

What I post on amethyst does appear on primal. However, what I posted on Primal through web browser does not appear on amethyst. 🧐

I guess then the question is whether relay.primal.net allow amethyst clients to access it.

Ok that seems like it might be the correct question to ask! Thank you! Let's find out what the answer is.

Who might be a good source of that knowledge?

#asknostr

What do you normally use?

Amethyst.
