That’s awesome! I’ve been carnivore and meat based for 2 years now. I’m doing this as a reset and for anyone who wants to join or start! 😊
You ever have those seasons where God feels so far away, like He is watching from a distance but you can’t hear Him? That was me. I was walking through life, going through the motions, and feeling this emptiness I couldn’t shake.
I asked the hard questions. Does He even see me? Am I too far gone? Honestly, I didn’t have all the answers. But I started noticing the small ways He was still present. A verse that hit at the right moment, a word from a friend, a moment of peace in the chaos.
In this episode, I share my journey through that distance, the doubts, the messiness, and what eventually helped me feel connected again. If you have ever felt lost, far from God, or unsure if He is listening, this one is for you.

I would love to hear, have you ever felt this distance? How did you navigate it?
Happy New Year! 🎉
I started my 30-Day Carnivore Challenge yesterday and I’m excited to see how the month goes. Starting fresh in the new year feels motivating but also a little intimidating. Anyone else feel that? 💛
If you’ve ever wanted to try a carnivore way of eating but didn’t know where to start, I made a FREE Carnivore Beginner Guide that walks you through the basics. You can grab it here:
https://kristincarrera.kit.com/free-carnivore-beginner-guide
I also have a private WhatsApp group for anyone who wants accountability, support, or just a place to share wins and struggles. Comment below “carnivore” if you want to join. It’s casual, judgment-free, and a lot more fun doing this together.
Here’s to a month of trying something new and seeing how our bodies feel 💛

I finally got around to posting a new episode based on faith. I would love if you checked it out 🤍

Lately I have been thinking about how God does not always get our attention in loud or dramatic ways.
For me it was subtle. Random thoughts about church. Feeling like I should actually open my Bible instead of just thinking about it. Small moments with my kids that stirred something deeper, even when I was not looking for God.
In this week’s podcast episode I share what happened when I stopped brushing that off and started saying yes in small, ordinary ways. Nothing fancy. Just simple steps that slowly changed how my days felt.
Have you ever experienced that quiet tug on your heart? What did it look like for you?

I was a mess for a long time.
Anxiety all day.
So tired I could barely function.
Brain fog on top of microscopic colitis.
I kept trying to fix it.
Keto. Gut protocols.
More veggies, less meat.
Everyone said it was healthy and I kept feeling worse.
In today’s podcast I share what finally started to help when I changed how I was eating and kept it simple with meat based meals.
If you want to hear the full story, Episode 2 is on YouTube on the Kristin Carrera Podcast.

I almost quit all of this.
Podcast. Content. Sharing my story at all.
Life felt too full. Three boys. Home. My health. Trying to show up online with an ADHD brain that was already overloaded.
So I stepped back.
I needed quiet and I needed to get honest about what was and was not working.
In my first Podcast Episode back after almost 6 months off, I share why I took a break, how I am shifting to a simple meat based way of eating, and how faith fits into all of it.
If you are a tired mom who wants to feel better, love God, work with your ADHD brain and feed your family in a way that actually fits your life, this episode is for you.
You can watch or listen to the full first episode here: https://youtu.be/Vz5VZj-RTpg
👇 If any part of this feels like you, tell me in the comments so I know I am not alone.

I have been quiet on here for a bit and spending a lot more time in my Bible.
It has me asking God what would actually be the most helpful thing for me to share in this season.
I am bringing my podcast back and I want what I post here to line up with that instead of just throwing out random content.
Right now I keep circling around four lanes:
✨CARNIVORE + MEAT BASED and how it changed my health
✨ KIDS HEALTHY EATING and keeping food simple at home
✨ MOM LIFE WITH ADHD AND KIDS WITH ADHD and learning to work with our brains
✨ FAITH + BIBLE STUDY and trying to walk this out in a messy life
If you had to pick one for me to go deeper on over the next few months, which one would you choose and why?
Comment with the word that fits you most:
CARNIVORE
KIDS
ADHD
FAITH
I would really love to hear your honest answer.

I didn’t expect to actually look forward to reading the Bible every day.
It’s been 4 weeks straight that I’ve opened it and read every single day. I’ve been using the Bible app to help me pray and stay consistent, and it’s become something I truly enjoy.
The Bible is so interesting once you start reading it. It’s this incredible story that pulls you in and makes you want to keep going. I find myself wanting to know what happens next.
Staying consistent with anything can be hard, but once you turn it into a habit it starts to feel natural. They say it takes about 21 days to build one, and I can see why.
I’d love to connect with others who are in this same place, or even just thinking about starting. Has reading the Bible been on your mind lately?
#biblestudy #habits #momlife #sahmom

I used to walk past my Bible every day. Now I can’t start my day without it.
Lately I’ve been reflecting a lot. I’ve felt like some things have been out of my control, and that makes me anxious, worried, and scared. Life keeps moving, and sometimes that can make a person feel lost.
With everything that’s been happening in the world, I started noticing more people talking about the Bible. I’ve had mine since I was a teenager. My uncle gave it to me. I’ve tried picking it up a few times over the years but never got very far.
I grew up Catholic, but I never really felt that comfort or connection people talk about. It’s hard to explain, but I never felt deeply connected to a church before. Still, it’s been on my mind for a while now to start going back, to talk about the Bible with my kids, and to teach them about Jesus and God.
Then my oldest son told me he wanted to go to church, so we finally found one. We’ve been going for the past two weekends. Even before that, I started reading my Bible every day. I can’t explain it fully, but I feel this pull to read, to learn, to connect.
I know I’m rambling a bit, but building this habit of reading and feeling that calling is something new for me, even at 42. If you’ve never felt that connection, I just want to remind you to open the Bible. Start reading. Start understanding.
Sometimes I even use ChatGPT to help me understand certain things. I know that might sound funny, but with my ADHD brain, it helps me process and learn better. Use whatever tools help you grow.
I’ve always believed you don’t need to go to church to pray to God, but after going these past two weekends, I can say there’s something special about being in that space with others who share the same faith. And yes, it’s only been two times so far, but we plan to keep going. It’s amazing how just two weekends can change the way you feel when you find a church that you start to connect with.
It’s never too late to start. Even if it’s one page, one prayer, one Sunday at a time. If you’ve been feeling that same pull, don’t ignore it. Just start somewhere. I don’t know where this path will lead yet, but I finally feel like I’m where I’m supposed to be. Maybe that’s what faith is, finding your way back one small step at a time.
Do you read the Bible? Have you been to church lately? Have you been thinking about it? Share your thoughts and let’s talk.

It’s not easy 😅
No one ever tells you that you’ll have to redo kindergarten to 12th grade multiple times as an adult depending on how many kids you have.
These science fair projects are more for the parents than the kids.
Prove me wrong.

✨ I’m starting to create digital products so I can keep being a stay-at-home mom and also build something meaningful. I would really love your input as I figure out the best direction to take.
Can you answer these quick questions for me? And if you don’t mind, please share this with others too 🙏
1. What digital products have you purchased before, if any?
2. How much do you usually spend or feel comfortable spending on a digital product?
3. Is there a digital product you wish existed but haven’t seen anywhere yet?
Your feedback means so much and will help me create something truly helpful. 💛

✨ Small business owners, I want to hear from you!
As a small business owner myself, I know how much there is to manage and how overwhelming social media can feel sometimes. Between posting, writing captions, keeping up with trends, and trying to stay consistent, it can get to be a lot.
That’s why I’m reaching out here. I’m really trying to understand what you struggle with most when it comes to social media. Is it planning content? Writing captions? Creating graphics? Or just finding the time to do it all?
I want to create resources that actually help small businesses, whether that’s done-for-you calendars, caption ideas, or simple templates you can use without needing a full-time social media manager.
So tell me, what would make social media feel easier for you? Drop it in the comments or send me a DM. I’d really love to hear from you.
Thank you for sharing and being part of this conversation! 💬

Growing up, I loved cereal. It was always in the pantry, always easy, and honestly it was the highlight of breakfast. Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Frosted Flakes, Fruity Pebbles, I loved them all.
As a kid I never thought about what was in it. Why would I? It tasted good and the box said things like heart healthy or whole grain. But the truth is, most cereals have little to no nutritional value. They are full of sugar and processed ingredients, and once I started learning more about food I realized how little they actually do for our bodies.
That’s one reason I never started my kids on cereal. They don’t even know what it is. We don’t eat perfectly but we do our best to cook at home and make meals that give them real energy. Since my kids have ADHD, it feels even more important to fuel them with food that supports their focus instead of distracting it.
For us, breakfast is usually eggs, fruit, and sometimes sourdough bread. It’s simple, but it works. I share this not to judge anyone, but because I wish I had known this sooner. What we put in our bodies really does matter.
Do your kids eat cereal for breakfast or do you try to avoid it too?

That’s awesome! I love being able to also come up with healthy versions that fit our lifestyle. 💗 it’s great to find that love again isn’t it 🙃
It’s been a long time since I’ve been on here. I felt the need to step away this summer and just be more present with the kids.
My YouTube views slowed down, work slowed down, and I started feeling stuck. Those negative thoughts can creep in fast and instead of forcing content just to keep up I decided to share more of what felt real, reels about my journey and family summer moments.
Now that the kids are back in school I’m in that space of figuring out what’s next, what direction I want to go in. So this is me keeping myself accountable and saying hi again 👋
On TikTok I even have a little group chat going where I’m trying to purple pill them into Nostr 🙃 so that’s been fun.
At the end of the day I just want to create in a way that feels true, connect with people, and keep learning as I go.
