Yes, this is a serious problem. There are a lot of posts from Mastodon/Fediverse users in the search results, but these users will not have any interaction with Nostr. I'm guessing they won't be able to receive Nostr's comments, retweets, and all of their interactions. There are tons of zombie accounts and content from Mastodon/Fediverse here, which is hugely damaging to #Nostr

Excluding certain relays?

Shouldn't these accounts basically be considered spam as most have no followers?

Yes, Search relays like nostr.band can solve this problem well. As long as the search results do not display accounts and post content with URLs containing Mastodon, Fediverse, or mostr.pub in NIP-05, these zombie accounts and content won't appear.

I know we use this term as a fix-all, but web of trust will ultimately solve that problem
