Today’s recommendation is an old John Wayne movie called Hellfighters. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellfighters_(film) My dad was a volunteer firefighter so I have seen almost every firefighting movie there is. I have watch Hellfighters multiple times as it was one of the Sunday afternoon movies that came on a local television station. I just thought it was a good movie until one day I read an article about Red Adair https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Adair and found out that the person that John Wayne was portraying was based on a real person. This led me down a rabbit hole to find out more about Red Adair. I found the book Red Adair: An American Hero https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/824912 I really enjoyed this book and Red was a very interesting person.
