Today is our neighborhood security guard’s birthday. He’s turning 52.

My wife and I made a letter for him and put some cash in there to brighten his day.

When I gave him the card, he was so excited to receive it that he opened it immediately.

Upon reading it and seeing the surprise inside, he quickly broke down in tears and began shaking from excitement.

I gave him a hug and told him how much we appreciate his work and his friendship.

After telling me “thank you” he let me know that no one had ever given him a card or a gift on his birthday in 52 years.

God has blessed many of us with the gift of Bitcoin and some level of financial literacy.

There’s no excuse not to do right by the people in our lives.

I've been introducing myself & giving holiday gifts to my mail carrier(s) since I moved into my own home.

Always get a thank you in return, either in person, or a TY card posted to my front door

Amazon misdelivers packages to me every so often, but the local mail service somehow has a perfect track record 🤔 😉

It’s not about getting more out of the service. It’s about appreciating people enough to supporting them.
