So I create an account with Nosta.me

Awesome set up.

I get a private key and mnemonic.

But nowhere can I find an nsec, so I can’t port it to primal & use the freakin account.

Am I blind? Retarded? Or is this a big UX flaw?

Been searching for 20min now and can’t find it.

Isn't the private key your nsec?

There are different private key formats. You may need to convert the private key to an nsec from hex: https://nostrtool.com/

Or actually you might be able to just take the private key that you have and put it into primal. It might handle it properly.

I never seen a need to convert a private key to hex, only public key

Nope. It’s not in the nsec format

If private key is in hex format you should convert to nsec.

There may be a tool out there. I am using a python library for my things.

yeah its weird coming from an app that claims to be "a starting point". I guess they don't want you to go somewhere else 😹
