Been playing around with FB ads because unfortunately I cannot shitpost on here and sell products reliably.

Been doing $5 a day just to make it real. Haven’t seen much results but it is still a learning process, my product is quite ready for prime time either so it is understandable.

But when I put that advertising budget into sats, that is 6100 sats per day off into the wind.

I probably won’t cancel the ad, I gotta figure out traditional ads at some point, but consider just zapping people 6,100 sats per day here and seeing if it works any better.

I already zap most posts I enjoy and my default zap is 69 satoshis.

100 sats per repost has worked in the past, the higher the sat amount the more participants though..

eazy peazy, find that number you’re comfortable with chances are you’ll have more than 100 reposts to pay out.

only publish the note if you have the next 2-3 hours of the day free so you can actively pay reposts as they come in a great way to show the community you’re actively paying out the bounty is by having them reply to the note once they’re done ( this also helps you trend on algo relays and on primal 24hr feed) win, win.

make sure the first portion of the note is a call to action that grabs the users attention before shilling the product in the second half 🤝

I dont want to play the algorithm that much, but I get you.

Going viral on nostr is like a nuclear reaction, you need to keep the fire going throughout time with protons of reposts, because the feed is chronological the message dies out quickly.

Probably worth it to bump up the spend for a few weeks. Add longer text, it's all AI matching, so talk to your audience and it'll find them quicker. 🍄🍄

Honestly 100x zaps of 69 sats would probably go waaay farther than Facebook ads. And even if they don't, at least your hard earned sats end up in a pleb's wallet and contribute to the circular economy instead of in Zuck's bank accout.

I think they both have their place, but whenever I post on nostr its like infinity times more real engagement than facebook has for like $100.

Yeah I think you need to go into debt and make a mainstream product to get sales over clearweb sources. Obviously that’s a terrible idea, But paying for ads on Facebook is definitely loosing money trying to make money. It is not a big deal if you don’t have a successful bitcoin company, It’s more important that you actually make a profit. Sounds lame, But I made more in bitcoin by working a FIAT job and stacking than anyone giving me bitcoin or liking my products. The “community” seems more like a giant grift than a group of people who care. From a venture capital perspective, You need a product that outperforms bitcoin. Something that generates bitcoin and an income in bitcoin. The “community” doesn’t give a fuck, It is a hyper competitive version of the antiquated banking system. The reason they present their products is because they need customers and users or they fail. The largest bitcoin holders are not walking around looking for people to give bitcoin to.

I'm growing some pinks in a straw only bucket, will the blue oysters grow in that same environment or do they need wood?

You can grow blue oyster on straw-only as far as I know. I mostly grow it with hydrated sawdust pellets though.

I built my business on Facebook ads. Back then not many people were doing it well and everyone was on Facebook. My metrics were off the scale. Now it's really hard, and Google ads suck

Makes sense! I haven’t ran ads on Reddit but might make sense to explore too. Or advertising on a related podcast. I wouldn’t bother with Google, you’ll prob not get far. I had an account flagged because Lion’s Mane appeared on their site (not even in the ad).
