Linux supports nearly all games, only exception is Valorant who's anticheat is very likely spyware.

Do consider ditching windows. I'm a very avid gamer. Ditched windows a few months ago, initial setup maybe a little cumbersome, but it's way better than whatever shit this is.

I love me some Linux but gaming was very hit or miss. Some flawless and others not so much

Did you try this before or after proton came out by steam?

So valve adopted Linux and moved their entire steam library onto Linux, I dont think theres any game that isn't working for me including VR Games.

The only games that don't work are multiplayer games like Valorant that require you to install heavy anticheat software on your computer which monitor your entire computer activity and do ping back their servers, I would treat these as spyware.

I’m ditching my windows PC with a hefty Steam library as my primary game rig. What’s the best Linux distro to go with? Thanks.

Ubuntu With KDE plasma(Xorg) is what has suited me best so far especially with VR stuff GNOME doesn't work very well with steamVR
