Kinda silly question about bitcoin, but one that has been in the back of my mind:
What happens to bitcoin, if a widespread electromagnetic event takes place?
Does anyone else think about that?

The majority of the bitcoin network goes down. Chain splits occur as the remaining, isolated mining nodes process blocks in parallel. As network infrastructure comes back online and those chains are compared, the chain with the most work is adopted by all nodes and any transactions performed on the shorter chains are rolled back.
More pressing is how you deal with the electromagnetic apocalypse while Bitcoin chugs along without a care in the world.
