Wait, so my vote doesn't matter?
Discussion
Uniparty. Votes don’t matter. Nice to see people learning lessons.
It matters when you #VoteOrange (fuck politics, buy Bitcoin)
Such a shame you think it doesn’t matter as you type with comfort behind your keyboard. Men have died to bring you freedom and stability and the right to vote. Good times make soft men, I should expect nothing less.
Lots of statist "bitcoiners" showing up on nostr
The filthy zionist type too
Most bitcoin maxis are indeed statists, because the establishment is endorsing their favorite crypto
Nah, I think it's mostly the other way around: #Bitcoin is entering the mass adoption phase, and most people are still statist. This makes the mostly libertarian early adopter group relatively small compare to the mostly statist later adopters, which is a much bigger group.
It's anoying to see all the statism in Bitcoin, but it is an inevitable effect of mass adoption in a statist world too.
The beautiful thing is that Bitcoin does exactly the same wether libertarians or statists are using it: Defunding the state
Also, many of these statists will probably convert to libertarian while they go through the Bitcoin rabbit hole (Libertarianism is the logical conclusion of understanding Bitcoin).
The NPC herd shall never understand Bitcoin as a liberty tool.
They are too ignorant and busy with routine chores of life.
They'll be brainwashed with whatever the state #blob wants them to think about Bitcoin - a kind of pointless PayPal, a new Wall Street playground, a criminal implement, a "national security asset", et cetera.
Sad for them, but #Bitcoin doesn't care. Everyone can use it as they wish, that's the point of decentralisation.
If a criminal like Trump or Biden goes sunbathing, that doesn't make sunbathing less useful or healthy for me. The sun is still the sun, and Bitcoin is still Bitcoin, whatever the political parasites do.
Why bitcoin? A trackable currency that lets them monitor every transaction on the planet? Why not something like monero if its about liberty and privacy? Doesnt have to be monero, but a privacy coin seems a nobrainer for a liberty tool.
Mass surveillance is one of the many side effects of the fiat money system. Killing the fiat system with #Bitcoin will indirectly end mass surveillance, but also all the other fiat nonsense like wars, rising prices, wokism, plandemics, and all the other clownworld stuff.
Lets not attack the symptoms with painkillers, but the cause with a cure.
Bitcoin
No, thats not how that works. The exact banker backed things would just switch over, they will leverage their infinite wealth to buy up the coins on mass if they want to. And when the majority hqs a trackable currency do you really expect the gov to just roll over and stop? They will weaponize it. They will attempt to build a system for precise regulation and for example demand all wallets be registered and if you transfer to an unregistered wallet they could come after you.
If everyone used a privacy coin they could also attempt to do so, but with the privacy coin obfuscating the transactions thats not going to go very far.
I want you to take a look at what happened with the canadian trucker protests funding for reference.
They can buy as much as they want, eventually this will only lead to the demise of fiat. Since #Bitcoin is PoW and not PoS, it will not give them power over the protocol, which means that they lose their ability of money creation and will end clownworld, even if they hold many coins. I would like them to not hold any, but Bitcoin is permissionless and will still succeed if they do.
Oh they going to ban unregistered wallets? This will end the use of it right? Like they banned drugs and ended the use of drugs globaly? Or the alcohol prohibition? How did that go?
The gov is not a God, stop worshipping them like they are! It's actually the most inefficient and incompetent organisation on the planet. The only reason they are so dangerous is that fiat gives them brute force power and people worship them. That's exactly why we need to end fiat with Bitcoin.
Oh and what I understand about the truckers is that individuals involved made quite bad mistakes (publicly advertise yourself as co-signer while staying in Canada).
The radical Americanist is talking again 🙄
We should all vote harder next time... right... cuz the next election will be the most important in history... etc... repeat every four years.
Sorry, but the men that died for out "freedoms" are likely rolling in their graves over the current state of the US.
And giving up is best? Or letting a foreign country steal your election is best? Did you want to pay unrealized capital gains tax under Harris ticket? Your arguments are made from good times. Good times makes apathetic and soft men. Your comfortable position could always be worse and voting helps thwart that. It is a tool and men died for to ensure you had that right.
Your power is your money, to the extent it isn't diluted away. But that is taken by force and you're handed a multiple choice questionairre in its place. I am assuming you are talking about world war 2, because there is not even a good excuse for every war since.
And for WW2, even if the propaganda is true (not close), consider the possibility all the American soldiers died in vain, in a war against an enemy already defeated by the Russian winter.
Money and speech. Your ability to opt out. To express consent or the absence thereof.
To give up on these in favor of a vote, that is the true cowardice, or delusion.
Even in America, the freedom for which some men died, was the freedom to loot land from primitive natives.
Same in ALL such colonies.
The Quash: #US was a land grab not a #freedom machine
That’s how history works. Wherever you live, somebody took that from somebody else. Welcome to the real world.
Exactly! Freedom to loot others is the one for which any died - not your freedom to vote.
Negative. I live in a constitutional republic and our borders are unchanged since purchasing Alaska.
The Quash: SprEAd thA woRd to save the #Republic
Lmao have you ever done the math, like at all?
Wait, my vote DOES matter??

Never has, obv
Democracy robs freedom of choice from minorities and individuals.
Democracy is a scam.
Unalienable rights and individual free agency are the true liberators.
The Quash: Being ruled by a majority #vote is #tyranny.
Unalienable rights are a good safeguard in any democracy. Certain things can be made exempt from a direct democracy such as a rule that solutions may not target a specific group if its anti discriminatory for example.
Individual free agency sounds good and I lean strongly in that direction to. Done right its basically western liberalism. However the tricky part is what agency to restrict. We all agree serial killing isn't desirable in a society so you'f need some kind of boundary in place if you don't want a free for all.
A person or group of people cannot violate another person's unalienable rights.
Which I like but thats not incompatible with democracy.
If the majority of people vote to take someone's private property the democracy absolutely violates that person's unalienable right to private property. The majority rule has no authority over unalienable rights. It can only infringe or defend unalienable rights.
But if you make the democracy in such a way that unalienatable rights can't be voted on then you can have both. Its all how you design the system. Its why I am pro direct democracy, but with the required systemic changes such as multiple choice instead of yes/no and things that would destroy liberty / democracy off the table.
Direct democracy is very dangerous.
An Individual Freedom Democracy would work, where people can vote on something, and then those that want it can support and pay for it, and those that want nothing to do with it are not forced into supporting it.
For example, those that want public education pay for it themselves and those that want nothing to do with it don't pay anting into public education and get their education elsewhere if they so desire.
Not even a little bit - unless it becomes public, then you might face the occasional political persecution here and there.
Nope, you always get John McCain
suck you thought you had one, and thought it was yours. ha ha voters.
It never had been
Negative Ghost Rider!
The Quash: Every #vote since 1960 examined
Not unless you are voting in Israel.
Never does
"Wow Colin, I'm shocked!"
