when ya get used to #nostr extension ( #alby ) login, old style username/password flow feels really high friction

i was just today watching at my work on their work in progress web app and the login was so messy, a million different options, and some don't let you work with this wallet or that chain or whatever...

i wanted to say "you should make a browser keychain extension" but smart contract blockchain is so tribal it's *ugh* really, i can see why my boss is testing the water with nostr

i'm sure we can completely blow the entire blockchain social out of the water once we glue nostr to a few of their databases

Once you have used #nostr everything else feels high friction.

To be fair wallet _login_ is (or at least can be) chain agnostic as it's merely doing signature verification. But since the point of connecting a wallet is typically to subsequently do transactions, the chain potentially matters. Just like you wouldn't log in with an ethereum address if your ultimate intention was to sign Bitcoin transactions.
