Why DMs don’t work on #nostr? Almost one week I can’t read my messages, and instead I can see just an empty screen… same problem at Damus and Primal. Any idea?

It's a client problem, on #amethyst I can see all of them, not in Primal.

You probably need some better relays.
How to get them?
Some are paid (one-time or subscription) and others are available for free. Most clients will show you the relays other people use and you can add them to your list. I have around a dozen relays (mix of free and paid) and I rarely have issues.
I have paid subscription on nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 , but hard to say if that changes my experience. I see translations of the posts, it is nice.
That doesn’t change your relay set, it just unlocks some Damus-specific features. To get the most of the decentralized Nostr experience it helps to have a variety of independent relays.

Depends on how your clients is selecting the relays to transmit those DMs...
With noStrudel.ninja (browser) and Nostur (iOS app) DMs are working quite fine in my case 😄
With that said, I prefer using SimpleX for private messaging 😉

Well...to be honest I stopped using Primal already more than 6 months ago because I had a lot of issues with it as a Nostr 'superuser' (I use / test a lot of different Nostr clients)
So what is alternative? nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 works ok, but again frequent problems with DMs, or no ability to upload videos.
