Tulip prices, 1600's
![]()
In 2018, the Dutch floriculture sector, including tulips, had an export value of approximately €6.2 billion.
Tulip mania invested in tulip strains, not tulip flowers.
Flowers are a decaying, regrowing resource for consumption and as such a good business.
A currency that decays on one end and regrows on the other end btw would make for an ideal currency.
Silvio Gesell's "free money" would pretty much fit the bill as per his book The Natural Economic Order or the movie Shillings from Heaven.
Okay, make sure you don’t own any bitcoin then and instead get some Gesell money
Working on it. I was going want to create a digital version of Gesell money.
Beating Bitcoin in adoption shouldn't be too hard what with Bitcoin having virtually zero adoption.
Beating central bank money shouldn't be too hard what with inflation.
I admire your confidence. Good luck
