I would say: nostr is a protocol for decentralized communication and value transfer between cryptographically secure identities.
Discussion
Or, for developers out there, another good way to think about it is as a protocol for secure communications that flips the Certificate Authority (HTTPS) model on its head. Rather than CA signing certificates providing all channel security, identities provide their own security on any channel by signing every message.
You're a dev right? ☺️

Not a nostr dev. But maybe I should be, if I can find the time 🤣
I noticed, not just you but all devs have a very technical approach to intangibles. Which are of course correct but mere humans will have to identify themselves to an idea.
Ideas are powerful, tech is in its own way and language. But what about my neighbor Joe who has no idea how an iPhone works as long as it does? 🤙🏻

Sure. Not trying to take away from the importance of “the vision”, just providing additional detail for the tech-minded (important that we get clear on the tech during this early phase).
