Are they similar to walking onions? I finally planted some last year and I love them!

Walking onion = Egyptian Walking Onion. The bulbs grow at the top tips of the greens in a cluster.

Multiplying onions can also be known as welsh onions which is different than Egyptian onions. I have both, I also have perennial Japanese onions, they multiply too.

I do see tiny bulbs on top, certain times of year.
