Replying to Avatar Matthew

I got stuck setting up the Mutiny wallet to receive Zaps. The address I entered with my own domain won't work until I set something up to verify "matthew@retroedge.tech".

Need to do more research to understand how the Lightning network works with the shortcut names as receiving addresses.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Not sure I follow. Are you trying to set up your own Nip 5 or lightning address?

For the mutiny+ to enable offline zaps/receives you would point to a specific fedimint, not any traditional domain name. I would read the mutiny wallet account’s post on this topic.

I guess set up my own lightning address. I'm new to this.

Can do my own research, but thought I'd ask.

I wanted to use my own domain name for my lightning address, but guess I do not know how Lightning works yet.

Setting up your own lightning address is quite hard and mutiny isn’t really the use case for that. That would be more running your own node and going full self hosted lightning. Likely using a start9 to get a node going and Zeus to connect would be the easiest way to do fully self sovereign lightning.
