Catcher in the Rye is just one crappy fiat clown world interaction after another. No wonder Holden is so depressed.
I didn't read this in school, but I'd just loove to hear some literature teacher try to tell me it's all just cause he's a moody pubescent teen.
Even if it was back then I'd probably get into an argument about it. And you know what? It'd all be because I'm just a moody teenager.
Now I want to read it, with that perspective in mind.
I'm only halfway through, so we'll see if things start looking up in the latter half.
i was major John Lennon fan in my youth ,to tell you truth I just read it because they guy that shot John ,mark Chapman was reading it which is now that I say it ,and I think there was a conspiracy theory that the book was some kind of mk ultra trigger thing but that's me crazy 90 s teen 🤣
