If you're a security minded person and don't own a Yubikey yet, you're missing out on a really powerful tool.

Never heard of it. What does it secure?

2FA and PGP keys.

I have all my accounts setup to require the key to unlock the account meaning that if anyone gets my password they still need the physical device to access my accounts.

My servers also only allow login via SSH by PGP key so, again you need the physical key to compromise my servers.

Thanks for the knowledge drop!

Also invalid ⚡️address when I tried to zap you.

I’m on WoS using Damus FYI.

RIP appreciate the thought, have to fix it again lol. Thanks for the heads up

Now I 100% could look this up myself but am taking the lazy route… Sorry.

How does it work with logging into accounts on a phone? My understanding is that you have to plug it in via USB, am I just completely wrong on that?

Depends on the model but the 5C NFC (best one for daily carry imo) can authenticate via direct plug or NFC.

Ah of course, NFC. Def about to look into getting one. Thanks for the rec.

I have a google "titan" key that I all but stopped useing. I should look into yubi key again.

Havent looked into Titan myself but I'm very happy with my yubikey and would prefer to support a company that isn't a big tech conglomorate. I think they have a really good product.
