Christ either partially saves the entire world or fully saves God's Elect people.

You either (A) think Christ perfectly saves who God sent Him to save, or you (B) think Christ imperfectly saves the entire world because only some small amount of "basically good" people choose to accept the offer.

Those who believe (A) think that Man is totally depraved and salvation is only possible because God sent a perfect savior to rescue His people.

Those who believe (B) think that God loves the whole world so He put salvation on offer for everybody, but only those who do the good work of accepting and laboring for it can actually take advantage of the offer.
