A #Nostr mobile relay app is absolutely necessary.

Everyone must have their own Nostr server on their smartphone.

Only then will #Nostr be incriminable.

Because if any government decides to punish anyone with a relay, it should punish millions, not thousands.

#Nostr must become unstoppable like #BitTorrent and #Bitcoin.

The only problem is, only you will have access to that relay and only your notes will stay there. In fact most of the clients are like that already. If you want something like BitTorrent, then the protocol will need to evolve to do that. So, in short, Nostr protocol doesn’t work like BitTorrent.🐶🐾🫡

Decentralization and security will never be easier than not having them.

Network bandwith, cpu and battery is a constrain on mobile

From my POV an acceptable decentralized solution is an home server #selfhosted with umbrel os or similar

There are already lightweight relay running on mobile. I need to dig through my many unorganized bookmarks… also, in client relays are being considered for app clients.
