Hmm. My wife is air drying nettles for tea. How does freeze drying compare?
Not sure compared to air drying. if it is similiar to dehydrating, freeze drying preserve much more of the original qualities. This includes taste, smell and nutrients.
I guess what I was meaning was after dehydrating/air drying the end product is just dried out and possibly a little more brown in color depending upon material.
It seems silly to ask but is it similar texture/result with freeze drying?
What do you do with the lemon balm? I’ve grown it the past few years for “bug control” but haven’t harvested it.
