Bit more technical stuff from which the most is not really necessary. Ideology still exists. Poverty still exist. Wars still exist. Food is trash. Water is poisoned. Doctors are paid by mafia cartel. Government is the biggest carribean pirate. People don't know if they are men or woman. AI is killing slowly jobs. I could go on but probably I should focus more on the beautiful things. So I should just look only how far my eyes can see and don't listen to the noise.

In which countries is the life of the avg citizen better?

I think life in the west is easier, but not better quality.

Life in the East is even less tolerant & under totalitarian control - with wars everywhere.

1/8B now with 2B living under Islamic rule. That's basically the entire world 100yrs ago living under church rule.

A lifestyle that was not possible for many due to tech advancements. Stop lots of crap but way better

I think that is personal preference. If you don't love the technology then much worse now. You had more children and babies die 100 years ago. But those that made it through the young years had a life where if you put in a 40 hour work week doing anything you could afford a big family a house. A wife staying home watching those kids. Came home to a clean home. Didn't have to compete with every other dude in the world for any woman you meet. Family all stayed close for generations. Neighbor friends the same.

So if you really love your phone and traveling to the other side of the planet easily maybe now is better. Everything about life is far worse now.
