Like, you build something and you're just tediously shoving code around, for hours, and then you run it and it's like, Holy moly.

You can follow along on the upload-from-url branch. I'll be PRing that one to nostr:npub1fq8vrf63vsrqjrwqgtwlvauqauc0yme6se8g8dqhcpf6tfs3equqntmzut , once it's finished and cleaned up a bit.

Basically, you start out with an Instagram-style feed and can switch to a Tik-tok-style feed or microblogging feed.

And, if you go to a profile, you can see those feeds, for that person, as well as their pin gallery.

Still figuring out how to structure the different views and feeds, but already so exciting. Love the reels! 📹

btw i played with NIP-71 as well.

you can take a look here: https://github.com/lumina-rocks/lumina/pull/88/

branch is: feature/reels on lumina-rocks/lumina

but im more than fine with it if i can merge your PR into lumina when its ready hehe

I'm gonna look at yours, as well. 🤔 Nobody can copy-paste program, like I can, baby. 😎

And we can do some extreme programming next week, for Lumina and PurpleKonnektiv clients. Get that stuff rolled out. 🛞🛞🛞🛞🛞

My basic idea is that most videos can start out kind 21, and go onto your pin-wall/gallery, and you can then transform some to kind 22, and then they show up in the reels.

The video only needs to exist once, so this is sort of like pinning a video to the reels feed. You can remove the video from that feed, by deleting that kind 22 event.

And the "normal" kind 1 clients just display the kind 21, when you first create it, in their chronologic feed. The kind 21 event is the one that goes into your albums and stuff.

We can have alternate paths, where you tag a kind 21 with #reels (so that we treat it as if it were kind 22), or you upload a video directly to kind 22.

Another thing is that you can do this to other people's kind 21 events. Or create a kind 21 or 22 event for someone else's video. You can pin their video to your wall or send it to the reels feed.

I was thinking, we can do a two-pronged approach:

1) Main path is 20/21/22 creation, either by uploading something or referencing a URL (we can add a "source" tag, so that it preserves the original webpage link).

2) But:

If someone tags _their own event_ with #pic #vlog or #reels, then we treat the media in that event like a kind 20, 21, 22 event, and pin it to their boards.

If someone responds to _someone else's event_ or to _their own event_ with the same tags, then we pin it to the responder's boards.

Clicking on the media in the gallery opens up the event that contained it. So, you can pin longform article cover images or a publication book cover, or whatever. Any kind we don't support, we just show the basic event card and a link to Njump, or something. If the event contains a source tag, we display that and turn it into a hyperlink.

Ah, that's good. I didn't want to destroy your concept. Good to know that great minds we're thinking alike.
