It’s interesting that ancient repeated daily observations and marking of these positions allowed us to measure the axial tilt that gives us our seasons, and helped us prove that we are orbiting the sun and not vice versa. And the person who published the proof spent a large chunk of their life in prison for pointing it out.
By "same time", you mean sunset? Because sunset is at different times throughout the year. If this were the same hour of the day, the sun would be at different heights from, or even below the horizon
