Price controls have NEVER worked. There are no signals from the market, so producers are blind. Central control failed miserably in the former Soviet Union and this will repeat in Fiat America if allowed to proliferate.
Hayek had said this before Keynes was annointed.
It's not hard to look like one us heading the right way when the roadmap is changed to compensate at every roadblock.
CPI, GDP, Unemployment, and for that matter non farm payroll reports are the PCR test of the economy. They don't represent shit, but can be made to look like they represent whatever the user intended.
