Not ready for it yet but have been way overdue for a phone upgrade.

In terms of best experience with all this freedom #nostr #bitcoin tech and #decentralized apps, would I be better off sticking with Android device or going to iPhone?

I was really wanting the best video camera phone out there which I think is the latest iPhone but then I saw that in the US it does no longer have a physical sim port and is only accommodating to eSim.

It had me for some reason concerned about potentially feeling restricted in the case of some weird "crisis" situation where maybe I want to plug in a different sim in there.

Any thoughts?

Damus is great on iPhone. I’ve tried other clients and I keep coming back to Damus. Never had an android though, so I’m maybe not the best person to ask. I get what you’re saying about your concerns about the physical sim (lack of). I’ve not been in a situation where that would be an issue but who knows what the future will bring.

My early morning first thoughts on the physical sim issue; if you were in a situation where you needed a different sim, unless you have a stash already, you’d be buying one. If there are sims available, I’d figure there’d also be some cheap prepaid burner phones available too, which may would be the better option anyway. Again, early morning first thoughts.
