I’ve been really focused on routine lately.

As someone who worked in the accounting industry for 10 years and then started my own business, routine has been, by far, the biggest adjustment.

This comes from “Stillness is the key” by Ryan Holiday.

“The truth is that a good routine is not only a source of great comfort and stability, it’s the platform from which stimulating and fulfilling work is possible.”

Anyone out there have some tips/resources for building and keeping a routine? I’m working on it but it ain’t easy.

I have had long periods of self employment and can relate. Having an evening routine (meditation and going to bed by 10pm) is helpful to set you up for the next day.

The body awakes naturally with the sunrise and feels well rested and ready to conquer those lists. The first thing on the morning list is gratitude and yoga/exercise.
