If you just want a Bitcoin Node, it's really easy, just don't put any BTC on it (Bitcoin core has a built-in wallet) and you've got nothing to lose.

Hardest part was deciding what hardware to run it on (raspberry pi or a laptop/pc/cloud) and if I should use a service like Umbrel or build it from sourcecode myself (I chose the last one since it's just 3 lines of commands, but you have to configure tor as well, which was fine but only do that if you're not scared of command prompt 🙂)

conclusion: everyone can do it, let me know if you need help!

nostr:npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8 made a solid video using nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll to run bitcoin core and other services. But yea, you can also just purchase a 1TB or 2TB SSD hard drive from best buy and download bitcoin core directly!
